The Narcissist's Mirror

I’m really quite a treasure
As anyone can plainly see.

God showed his infinite wisdom
When he created me.

I’m smarter, cuter, funnier
Than anyone I know;

At the center of a crowd
I put on quite a show.

No matter where I am,
Everyone knows my name.

All of my admirers agree,
I’m at the top of my game.

I’ve heard that some dislike me;
They just don’t understand.

If they’d simply do as I say,
Everything would be grand.

I’m encyclopedic in my knowledge,
And others could learn so much.

But they just stare in wonder,
So distant and out of touch.

They wish they could be like me,
The world’s greatest lover;

But only one can ever be;
There will never be another.
